FAQ

Common questions

What does an SEO Consultant do?

An SEO consultant finds what's stopping a site from ranking and fixes it: the technical side (crawling, indexing, site speed, schema) and the content side (keyword strategy, gap analysis, topic coverage); then sets up reporting that proves it's working. The good ones also know enough about UX, dev and design to get changes actually implemented, not just recommended and ignored.

How does a typical engagement run?

A typical retainer engagement is onboarding and a quick-wins audit during month one, so you see movement early. Month two goes deeper: full technical and content audits. Months three and four move into implementation, integrated into your team's existing workflow. From there, priorities shift as needed, but the long-term roadmap is set and gets executed as time and capacity allow.

What industries do you work with?

I mostly work end-to-end with B2B software and SaaS, ecommerce, and B2C/DTC brands. With enterprise in-house teams, it's more consultative: less hands-on execution, more strategic guidance for a team that's already doing the work. The technical fundamentals carry over regardless of industry, so these aren't hard boundaries, just where most of my work has lived.

How is pricing structured?

My pricing is structured around a monthly retainer, where real channel ownership of results are, not in one-off deliverables. One-time projects, like an audit or migration, are scoped and billed hourly based on what the work actually requires.

What happens next

Three steps, no sales deck

  1. 1

Crawl the domain & look at rankings

Your site is crawled & rankings run before the call, so the conversation starts from what's actually happening on the site.

  2. 2

    A 15-minute intro call

What's working, what isn't, and whether an audit or a retainer fits better.

  3. 3

    A scoped proposal

Fixed price for an audit or migration, or a retainer scope with a clear 3-month plan.
